If your office purchased WinSLAMM after March 1, 2025 and did not already receive notification from us, you can get the latest version of the model by contacting us at John Voorhees for a password, and then downloading the update file from this website
Download WinSLAMM Version 10.5.1
To download the complete installation package, click the "Download WinSLAMM" button below. Save the application file in the program file directory: c:\Program Files\WinSLAMM v10. This file is password protected and the password is only available to current WinSLAMM license holders.
Unzip the downloaded file using the password sent after a license has been purchased. Next run the "WinSLAMM v 10.5.1 Setup.Exe" file. The program will be installed on your computer.
The installation file, which is a password-protected self-extracting compressed file, contains the following:
- WinSLAMM.exe, the program file
- WINSLAMM.HLP, the help file for the program
- HydroDeviceData.txt
- WinSLAMM.INI
- WinSLAMMLog.txt
- Documentation describing various aspects of the program
The Wisconsin DNR, the USGS, and other cooperators have recently completed re-evaluation of runoff volume and pollutant discharge relationships from urban source areas using data compiled from several decades of storm water research projects in Wisconsin. New WinSLAMM parameter files have been created to reflect this calibration and validation effort. The USGS is completing a research paper describing the calibration and verification process. When it is released we will place it on the WinSLAMM web site. The Wisconsin DNR anticipates that the use of the new parameter files will be expected for modeling completed with WinSLAMM v 10.5.1 and subsequent versions, so these parameter files have been set as the default files in v 10.5.1. Existing rainfall files correlating to the location being evaluated should continue to be used with the new version.

We currently do not offer a trial version because the software we used to create it no longer works and we have been unable to find a replacement to create the trial version software.
